This brought up memories for me as there was a ski resort named Snow Bowl by my high school. I remember sitting in various classes during the winter and staring at the slopes and daydreaming rather than paying attention to the teacher. Also memories of skiing and the warmth of the lodge afterwards. Ice cold feet. Hmmm, not so good. Thanks for the memories :-)
Cliff-hanger literally and then surprise after surprise! I’m shivering just thinking about that standing in that cold water and puzzled about the birthday celebration—yeah a surprise alright! But butt, feet and heart-warming.
By the way, I added an Article Voiceover to the top of this story. If you click on the arrow, a voice (not me) will read the article for you so you can listen as you continue with other activities. This is the first time I have used this, so I have no idea whether or not it will be beneficial. However, mobile phone users may find it interesting. If you have any thoughts, please let me know...

Good story brings back memories of the bowl. Once took a toboggan from the hill shot across the road and to the bottom of the bowl and lived.
A couple of turns in the way this played out. At first i thought this was about an adult, then a kid, then not sure.
Like the way this ended with a surprise party.
Thanks for bringing back memories.
Have a blessed day 🙏
Randy

I love this story. On a very rainy day here it was nice to allow my mind to go elsewhere and Robert did that for me. that’s what writing is all about.
